Maybe in another 5 years, the same time span it seems for anything to be usable when it comes to the "world wide" nerometer. The idea of free and open source SSL certificates is certainly coming at the right time as we are looking at a big push from Google and other big Internet players to try and enforce SSL on every Internet connection.
